This weekend the family signed up for the annual Mad Mountain Mud Run in Hendersonville NC to benefit Hand's On. Donald is a volunteer for the group, and he is working on his Eagle Project for Hand's On, so running in this fun event had a special meaning for all of us.
I'm proud to say that the "Slippery Shraders" were able to finish in the top 50% of their group, and had a great time. Sadly, we did suffer one cut on the last obstacle, but Heather was able to hobble through the final 50 yards to the finish line and on to the Pardee Tent for a good wash and a bandage.
I served as the official photographer of the team. Because, ahem, they could only have 4 team members.... Well, as the photographer I took a lot of family photos to share with you, but also captured several other teams as I waited for the family to get out of the woods. I hope you enjoy these photos, and we are looking forward to next year!
If you see someone you know in these pics, please be sure to let them know about my site.
