This past Saturday I was able to go to West Henderson and watch some Baseball (West beat North Buncombe) and a special day of Softball. The Softball team was having a "100 inning" inter-squad scrimmage. I meandered over to the field and saw that the players and their parents were having an absolute ball on the field. Dads were taunting their daughters. Daughters were begging to field 1st so they could tag their Dad out. Coach B was hanging out in her LL Bean Duck Boots and outrunning the younger athletes.
This practice showed me the love these ladies have for each other, and the fun that they have playing with one another. Thanks, ladies, for allowing me to peek in and join in on your fun practice.
