I absolutely love Volleyball. With no disrespect to any of the other amazing sports and athletes, I enjoy photographing the action of an amazing Volleyball game a lot. Last Friday I had just a couple free hours and couldn’t make it to the West-East Football game, but I was able to steal away for the first round of the 2nd Annual Falcon Invitational Volleyball games. And this match featured two incredible teams that I love to watch face off: TC Roberson and West Henderson.
These two schools are just a couple miles apart, and each represent some of the absolute best teams in the region. They are both extremely well coached, and neither team will ever back down from the other. They are fierce competitors during the school season, and many of them play together in travel ball. Over the years, these two teams have had epic showdowns that rank up with the best games I’ve seen.
This game was no exception. West won this best of three tournament format, but there was nothing handed to them. TC had incredible energy and drive that matched the Falcons every move. It was so much fun to watch, and I am so glad I had the chance to get over for this game.
